Welcome to our Flat Stanley Project!!!
The third grade classes at Carlisle Elementary School are excited to announce our Flat Stanley project! This project is based on the book Flat Stanley by Jeff Brown. In the book, a boy named Stanley Lambchop is flattened by a bulletin board which leads to great adventures, including being able to travel to places around the world in an envelope. Now Carlisle students will be able to visit exotic places by making and mailing their own flat people to exotic places around the world! Third graders began their project by taking virtual field trips on the web. We're now in the process of making our flat people, so come back soon to check out the pictures of our flat people before they begin their travels!

My Flat Emily had arrived today and I am very excited to take her out and show her around! We have so many different places to show her. We can't wait to get this started.
ReplyDeleteFlat Trey is excited to head to Washington, D.C. on Friday! We will let you know just how much fun he is having along the way.
ReplyDeleteFlat Emily and I went to watch the Under 6 soccer game in our community. It was alot of fun to watch the "little ones" have a good time.
ReplyDeleteWe also went out to the farm and fed the cats, but the cows were out in the pasture and wasn't able to visit them.
We are so excited that our flat people are arriving safely! It sounds like Flat Emily and Flat Trey are going to see many different places and learn many new things. We'll be waiting for them back home in Alabama. Thank you for letting us know what are flat friends are doing. Keep us posted!
ReplyDeleteFlat Trey went to Washington, D.C. on Saturday. He saw the Washington Monument and the Lincoln Memorial. When he went to New York City, he went on a ferry ride to Staten Island and was able to see the Statue of Libery from the ferry! After that, he went to Times Square. We both had a great time!
ReplyDeleteHi Christian! Flat Christian has arrived at Carlsbad Caverns National Park. I am so excited to be able to show her around. We have a very busy time ahead of us. We will be doing guided tours and very important cave restoration projects. And guess what, most of the restoration is done by volunteers! AWESOME!! I will be posting pictures very soon!
