Flat Kim goes international!

Well, it looks like our Flat Stanley project has now gone international! That means that a flat person has now went to another country. Actually, she even went to another continent! Ms. Clark's friend took Flat Kim with him to Paris, France. Look at the map above. France is located on the continent of Europe. France is a much, much older country than the United States. Actually, some French explorers came to our continent, North America, to begin colonies.

Flat Kim visits Notre Dame. Notre Dame is a cathedral, which is like a church. Construction began in 1163, so this building is around 600 years older than our country, the United States!

Flat Kim has a beautiful view of the Eiffel Tower. The Eiffel Tower is the tallest monument and building in Paris, France. It was constructed in 1889. It is one of the most well known features of Paris. It could be compared to the Statue of Liberty in the United States.

Wow...Flat Kim is actually viewing the Mona Lisa. The Mona Lisa is one of the most famous paintings in the world. It was painted by Leonardo Da Vinci in the early 1500s. Once again, something else that is older than our country!

Flat Kim is getting ready to tour the Louvre. The Louvre is the most visited art museum in the world. The Mona Lisa is on display there.
